EARTH University was established in 1986 as a private, nonprofit, international university in partnership with the Costa Rican government, the US Agency for International Development and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

The EARTH University Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USA. It supports the educational mission and vision of EARTH University through generous gifts from the global community and other programs and initiatives.

Goodluck Serafine Mushi, (Class of 2023), comes from Dar-es-Salam, the most populated city in eastern Tanzania. He chose to study agricultural science as a way to help his country as agriculture is the backbone of Tanzania’s economy.
